Delphinius 2014

Oh man, how far we've come.

This character dates back to somewhere around 1999. It has remained fundamentally the same for over 15 years. The biggest change was in the name -- it was initially misspelled (with an extra 'e'). It was my first 'persona' character and is very close to my heart. You have have seen it around various Ecco fan sites back between '99-'05 or so!

"Delphinius" is a pseudonym. Real name unknown.
Indeterminate gender, sometimes referred to as female.
Somewhere around 8ft = 2.4m
Small for a bottlenose, large for a southern right whale dolphin.
Body built like the latter, but with skyfin fins.
Embedded tringular metal things around the shoulder and pre-dorsal area.
Dark blue markings are "painted" or "tattooed", not natural, and thus have some variance.
One white starlike marking on forehead (unknown if this is "painted" or natural).
Naturally lighter ventral side.

Delphinius was previously referred to as Delphineius in some places. The misspelling has bothered me for years and has been retired in favor of the proper spelling. In 2013 Delph was merged with another dolphin OC of mine which caused most of the major visual differences (slight marking changes, external mechanical parts).
